Growing In Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him

Devotional

There is a woman mentioned in the Bible who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years. She had tried everything in her power to get healed to no avail. Can you imagine how much frustration she was in for all those years? The embarrassment she had to endure? The friends she lost, and the amount of money she spent?

When she heard about Jesus, she believed! Despite her condition, she focused on Jesus and immediately touched his clothes. Her simple act of faith pleased Jesus, and apart from the direct healing she received, he also blessed her. With a few words he said to her, she is now among the Bible’s remembered characters.

Two things to note: through faith, she received healing, but through Jesus being pleased, she became a legacy spoken of to this day. Do you want to please God today and receive his blessings? JUST BELIEVE!

Prayer

Dear GOD, I desire to believe in you, your glory and greatness, mercies and favor. May your Spirit help me grow in faith so I can always please you at all times and in all circumstances. In Jesus name, I pray, AMEN.
